We’re seeking Financial Advisors who want to serve with intention — those who lead with empathy, think strategically, and act with care. This role is ideal for professionals ready to elevate their purpose while being part of something larger than a firm — a movement.

This is a commission-only, entrepreneurial role designed for professionals who want to specialize in estate and legacy planning. You’ll operate independently while leveraging Ai Merchantry’s fractional family office model, working alongside attorneys, CPAs, and financial advisors to deliver holistic solutions.

Key Focus Areas for Ai Merchantry Estate Planning Advisors:

  • Educate Clients — Help families understand the importance of estate planning, wills, trusts, and wealth transfer strategies.

  • Design Personalized Solutions — Partner with legal and tax professionals to create strategies tailored to client goals and family dynamics.

  • Legacy Planning — Incorporate charitable giving, philanthropic strategies, and multi-generational planning into client discussions.

  • Collaborate Across Disciplines — Work with Ai Merchantry’s Financial, Retirement, and IUL Advisors to integrate estate planning into broader financial strategies.

  • Conduct Reviews — Provide ongoing updates to ensure estate strategies remain aligned with evolving client needs and tax laws.

  • Community Engagement — Build relationships with attorneys, CPAs, and Centers of Influence (COIs) to create referral opportunities.

  • Lead & Support Events — Participate in educational workshops and Ai Merchantry programs, including Protected Tomorrows™ and family legacy workshops.

  • Compliance & Documentation — Ensure all estate planning recommendations meet legal, ethical, and fiduciary standards.

  • Build & Manage a Book of Business — Take ownership of client relationships, reviews, and long-term legacy conversations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced education preferred (JD, CFP®, CPA, or CLU® a strong plus)

  • 4–8 years of experience in estate planning, legal practice, tax planning, or advanced life insurance/wealth transfer strategies

  • Active Life & Health insurance license required (with advanced planning knowledge)

  • Familiarity with wills, trusts, charitable giving, family governance, and succession planning strategies

  • Proficiency with planning platforms such as Asset-Map™, Ensight™, Salesforce, DocuSign, and Microsoft 365

  • Strong communication skills — able to simplify technical legal and tax concepts for clients

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass a background check

Role Expectations — Estate Planning Advisor

  • Educate Families & Business Owners — Explain the importance of wills, trusts, and wealth transfer strategies in clear, relatable terms.

  • Design Tailored Solutions — Collaborate with attorneys, CPAs, and financial professionals to structure estate plans that align with client goals and family dynamics.

  • Integrate Legacy Planning — Incorporate charitable giving, philanthropic strategies, and family governance into estate planning conversations.

  • Conduct Ongoing Reviews — Provide annual check-ins to ensure strategies remain aligned with changing tax laws, family needs, and market conditions.

  • Collaborate with Advisors — Partner with Ai Merchantry Financial, Retirement, and IUL Advisors to deliver holistic, multi-layered client solutions.

  • Community Engagement — Build relationships with elder law attorneys, estate planners, and Centers of Influence (COIs) to expand referral opportunities.

  • Event Participation — Co-host and support workshops, webinars, and Ai Merchantry programs such as Protected Tomorrows™ to engage and educate clients.

  • Ensure Compliance & Ethics — Maintain high ethical standards and ensure all recommendations meet legal, regulatory, and fiduciary requirements.

  • Build & Manage a Book of Business — Take ownership of client relationships, consistently follow up, and nurture multi-generational trust.

Role Structure & Earning Opportunity

This is an independent, commission-only role. Your income is determined by your ability to design estate planning solutions, build relationships, and generate business opportunities through Ai Merchantry’s platform.

Income sources include:

  • Estate planning insurance solutions (life insurance for wealth transfer, premium financing, IUL strategies)

  • Collaboration with attorneys & CPAs on trusts, wills, and advanced planning cases

  • Client retention & reviews that produce renewal commissions and new opportunities

  • Workshops and programs, including Protected Tomorrows™, charitable giving, and legacy-building seminars

There is no base salary and no income cap. Earnings are tied directly to your performance, consistency, and ability to create long-term client value.

Compensation & Commission Structure

This is a 100% commission-based role. Compensation is earned through client acquisition, product placement, service delivery, and relationship management. Advisors are paid in accordance with applicable state and federal laws, and compensation varies based on individual performance, product mix, carrier contracts, and client volume.

There is no guaranteed base salary. Earnings are based on a tiered and scalable commission schedule — designed to reward those who take ownership, build relationships, and deliver solutions.

Your income is uncapped and grows as you build trust and serve clients with purpose. Earnings are commission-based and tied to:

  1. Policy Design & Placement

    • Life insurance for estate planning, IUL for wealth transfer, and advanced premium financing.

  2. Collaboration with Professionals

    • Partnering with attorneys, CPAs, and COIs to uncover complex planning cases.

  3. Case Complexity & Premium Size

    • Larger estates and more complex cases generate higher commissions.

  4. Client Retention & Reviews

    • Annual reviews and legacy planning updates produce recurring income.

  5. Educational Outreach

    • Hosting and supporting estate planning workshops, community events, and Ai Merchantry programs.

  6. Consistency & Intentionality

    • Advisors who consistently engage in estate planning conversations with clients and COIs see exponential growth.

Advisor Engagement Details & Expectations

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Ai Merchantry™ is a platform that empowers licensed professionals to build their own book of business while leveraging digital tools, strategic partnerships, and flexible support models.

This is a remote-friendly, commission-only opportunity, allowing advisors to work from a location of their choice. While the majority of tasks can be performed virtually, the role does require:

  • The ability to sit for extended periods and use a computer for daily planning and client communication

  • Occasional in-person meetings, events, or seminars (as scheduled by you or your team)

  • Comfort handling light materials such as marketing kits, iPads, or promotional materials (typically under 15 pounds)

U.S. Eligibility Requirements

To engage with Ai Merchantry™ as a licensed financial advisor, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Must hold or obtain appropriate state insurance and/or financial licenses

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; Ai Merchantry™ may request verification of identity and work authorization in accordance with I-9 and E-Verify standards

  • Must be willing to undergo a background check as part of our commitment to professionalism, ethics, and fiduciary integrity

  • May be asked to sign a Confidentiality and Non-Solicitation Agreement to protect client relationships and brand standards
